Restaurant Week 2012 @ The Tasting Room

some time, long long ago, in 2012 (october i think), I had my first dining experience during Restaurant Week!
Thanks to Yu shan who jio-ed us and made reservations for us at the Tasting Room @ Marina Square! She also nicely called the restaurant to ask if there were any other mains than Duck and Beef cuz I'm not a fan of both.. =)

these were wat we ate tt nite:

Starters: truffle fries!
omg this is the BEST truffle fries I've eaten so far..
crispy and tasty and the truffle tast was not overwhelming~
I definitely will wanna head back there just for this!

Soup - Seafood Roasted Tomato Puree Soup

 I remembered this to be nice too!

Mains - Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek
hw had this.. not too sure if it was good cuz i dun take beef..

Mains - Confit of French Duck Leg
ys had this.. think it was good..

Mains: Truffle Mushroom Pasta
Mine! This was good too tho I'm not really a fan of cream-based pasta cuz it gets too jelat after a while. like my pasta to be tomato-based =)

Desserts - Cheesecake
i had this.. i remember it was v good~

Desserts - Tiramisu
tried some of this.. was not bad too
the menu that night..
basically we each had a starter (they gave us 2 bowls of truffle fries to share tho..), a soup, a main and a dessert!
it was abt $40 per pax which I found to be quite reasonable given the quality and amt of food (i.e. starter, soup, main and dessert)
but then it was probably cheaper cuz of the Restaurant Week promo la..
but i definitely dun mind going back cuz the food is fab~
anyway, saw this at the back of the wine menu:

wore this simple black jersey tube dress from H&M with a sweater..
i think its less than $20 if i remember correctly..
I even bought another one in mint haha
