Happy Hazy Birthday!

Haven been updating my blog much, I know. So many things I wanted to blog about but I think by this time it is already too backdated that I've decided to give up on it!

So! decided to blog about the most recent happening and that is my birthday!

2013's birthday will definitely be a memorable one thanks to our friendly Indonesian neighbours who gave me the Haze as a birthday present! I even received some "Happy Hazy Birthday" messages from friends lol!

I think this following pic really summarises my birthday this year!

The McDonald's Hello Kitty Craze + the super bad haze (reached 400+ on 21st Jun)! hell, it even has my birthday date stamped on it!

[Contest] Monster University!

Remember Monster Inc? I'm sure most, if not all, of us have watched it and LOVED it! I sure did! Its, by far, one of my favourite cartoon and that says a lot since I'm a big cartoon lover!

I still remember many details about Monster Inc (duh, after watching it over and over again! I even bought the DVD so I can rewatch it at my convenience..)~


Like how Boo keep calling out "Mike Wazowski", and how all the monsters were so scared of being touched by human and human things like a silly little sock!

And how Mike's face got covered by a barcode when they were on the magazine but he was still so happy:

 

LOL!!

Can you believe Monster Inc was first released in 2001?? Gosh, that was 12 years ago!

And 12 years later, they are FINALLY releasing the prequel to Monster Inc! MONSTER UNIVERSITY!

The "Monster University" campus looks nice doesn't it? Almost makes me want to attend university there. Almost. lol

Given the big hit Monster Inc was, I definitely am super excited to catch it! Can't wait to see Mike Wazowski and Sulley on the big screen and enjoy their camaraderie! And of course to find out how life was for them before they joined Monster Inc and started their careers as "scarers"!

and look at the Big group of monsters! Can't wait to meet the new characters whom I'm sure will bring us more laughter~

Also, I love watching movies which revolves around school life (better to watch than to school.. heehee)!

And guess what? Monster University opens in SG theatres on MY BIRTHDAY! heehee~ all the more I have to go catch it, on its opening day hopefully~

LOL at Mike's student pass! Poor mike, always can't get a full shot of himself.. haha

The Burger Bar and The Tiramisu Hero!

I actually read abt this new burger place on many bloggers' blog and had been meaning to try it but didn't make the effort to go down to Far East Plaza to try!

Then, heard a review on it on Class 95 by Yasminne and the way she described it made me crave for a good burger right away! And then, somehow, soooo many people were posting pictures of burgers on their instagram and it intensified my cravings..

So I headed down to Far East Plaza when I happened to be near newton area to buy myself some burger! WARNING: Drool-worthy pictures ahead, so don't read on if you're hungry or if its the middle of the night lol.

2nd May 2013: Othello In The Park~

Always wanted to watch a Shakespeare in the Park play cause of the interesting outdoor theatre concept!

So when my cousin told me she got a pair of tickets but didn't wanna go, I jumped at the chance and immediately contacted Ida to ask her if she's free to go with me! luckily for me, she was!

This year, the play was Othello which was by the Singapore Repertory Theatre. It was held at Fort Canning Green~

 

 

My favourite singing competition!

I blog mainly to write and share about what I'm passionate about and I am definitely passionate about this "singing competition"- The Voice!

In particularly, The Voice 4!

I really really loooooove the concept of The Voice. Of how everything starts with the Blind Auditions where people are judged and compete on solely on their VOICE (how aptly the show was named!)! Everything else is put aside - image, race, size and even gender! And because of this, almost all the contestants selected through the audition rounds have amazing and, for some, unique voices!

To be honest, I only started watching the Voice when I caught snippets of the Voice 2 on cable (replays).. I love Christina Aguilera (the epitome of a great voice.. apt again) because of her powerful vocals and also how she carries herself and her style (more so in the earlier years of her career) and I was hooked after I noticed the tremendous talent the Voice showcased!

My fave of Voice 2 was Lindsey Pavao!

somehow I really love indie-sounding voices.. i dunno why.. something twinkling and special about these kinda voices!
