Ladurée

I'm sure many of you would have heard by now that the famous French Pâtisserie, Ladurée, recently opened its first Singapore outlet! Ladurée is one of the best known makers of macarons in the world [Source: Wikipedia].

 

Personally I'm not a fan of macarons. The first and only macaron I've ever eaten (before this) was from Bakerz Inn.. and seriously, I was wondering what's the big craze over macarons about? If you're on Instagram, you're sure to see the influx of macaron pictures flooding the timeline.

 

Anyway, after hearing soooo many people hype about  Ladurée macarons, I just had to go down to their Singapore store to get myself some!

 

Ladurée is located inside Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Their main store is at L2 while their counter (selling mainly macarons) is at L1. The counter is near Chanel and LV~ But I heard the L2 store also sells their famous macarons.

i finally got my Canon S110! wanted to get the S100 last yr but i got scammed into buying a pentax.. zzz..

 

anyway, my friend adelene managed to help me buy the S110 at lower than its retail price of $599 and it came with extra goodies too~ major thanks to her =)

9th Mar 2013: Jeff Chang 空出来的时间 Concert

Attended Jeff Chang's (张信哲) concert on 9th Mar 2013 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium!

Was so psyched to attend! Really love his voice and songs and have been idolising him since i was 12~ he's like 46 now.. you really know you are old already when all your childhood idols are in their 40s or 50s.. lol

last day in boracay before we flew back to manila!

took a last walk down the beach as we had time to kill before our pickup to the airport arrived..

Decided to get inked since we were flying off alrdy and wouldn't stain the hotel bedsheets & towels..

anyway, the year of the snake has dawned upon us! i dun like snakes but the year ahead promises to be a good one for my chinese zodiac apparently.. tho i don't really feel like it has been good so far~ everything was not going well 2-3 weeks ago and only turned to be normal this week.. wld be happy with just normal actually.. haha

every CNY i'd try to bake something.. this time i tried baking cornflake cookies again! well, cuz i like to eat them.. haha.. and pineapple tarts requires too much effort!

Restaurant Week 2012 @ The Tasting Room

some time, long long ago, in 2012 (october i think), I had my first dining experience during Restaurant Week!

 

Thanks to Yu shan who jio-ed us and made reservations for us at the Tasting Room @ Marina Square! She also nicely called the restaurant to ask if there were any other mains than Duck and Beef cuz I'm not a fan of both.. =)
